Engineering Sustaining Technician

Purpose:

The Engineering Sustaining team provides first level Engineering Support to the Operations team at Toppan Photomasks Round Rock, Inc., meeting the needs of the role by spending a significant of time in advanced manufacturing production cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities:

• Improve factory operational output by improving manufacturing techniques
• Provide first level troubleshooting support to the Manufacturing Process Technicians in Operations
• Handle the first attempt to disposition discrepant product
• Assist in establishing equipment operating specification and introducing new process equipment to production
• Support product design and development to ensure that processes and designs are compatible
• Oversee and support tactical execution of improvement projects
• Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools for process improvement
• Communicate "Voice" of Operations Team to the Engineering team
• Communicate "Voice" of Engineering Team to the Operations team

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience within the Semiconductor / Electronics Industry is preferred
• Strong working knowledge of cleanroom operations preferred
• Knowledge of process engineering
• AA degree in Engineering Sciences or related field preferred. Equivalent experience may substitute for degree
• High school diploma and/or GED equivalent required
• Technical aptitude
