Etch Process Engineer

Responsibilities:

Assists in the development of new or modified plasma etch processes including, but not limited to, equipment, material, and methods requirements applied in the manufacture of photomasks for the semiconductor industry.

Also:

• Interfaces with product design and development to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.
• Oversees the testing, troubleshooting, and evaluation of systems and equipment.
• Provides technical training and guidance to process engineers.
• May provide direct supervision to exempt and nonexempt personnel and contract personnel.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years engineering experience within the Semiconductor or Electronics industry
• University degree in and Engineering or Engineering-related field
• Production-focused approach
• Solid knowledge of:
  • Multiple components of mask / mask materials manufacturing technology
  • Continuous improvement with respect to safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Experience with plasma etch or plasma deposition processes
  • SPC / data management
  • Clean room operations
  • ISO 9000 standards
  • Quality Systems (CP, FMEA, 8D, etc.)
